AARON KADDIE

Operations Manager, USA

Aaron started his career with the small Canadian branch of a pharmaceutical raw material distributor based out of the United Kingdom. He held the role of Operations Manager responsible for North America. There were five employees when he started, so it was much like Protekta Inc.: small but dynamic.

During his 22-year tenure, Aaron’s position encompassed supply chain, vendor relationship development, inventory control, process implementation and improvements, as well as project management. A large part of his responsibility was handling regulatory affairs, with a focus on Health Canada requirements for controlled substances and chemicals.

After moving to Kincardine, Ontario, Aaron was offered a position with a Pharmacy in Walkerton, Ontario, where he was responsible for the operations of their CCAC home care contract in Southwest Ontario. Through his leadership, the organization was able to improve efficiencies in inventory control, documentation flow, and facilities management.

Aaron joined Protekta Inc. in September 2017 as Operations Manager. His responsibilities include supply chain management with a focus on logistics and inventory control.

In his spare time, Aaron enjoys working in his garden. He also has an interest in cooking and has recently taken courses with a local chef in Kincardine.

PAT HOFFMAN

Dairy Science & Research, USA

Patrick Hoffman is Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison receiving BS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and his MS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In his 37-year tenure, Professor Hoffman conducted applied nutritional research on dairy cattle and was responsible for dairy education outreach programs. He is the author of over 200 scientific manuscripts, abstracts and has received numerous awards for both his research and educational programs. Professor Hoffman also served for 6 years as a dairy scientist for Vita Plus Corporation located in Madison, WI developing advanced dairy nutritional models. Professor Hoffman currently serves as a professional consultant for the dairy nutrition industry.

Pat supports Protekta through dairy science and research development.

MEGHAN CONNELLY

Research & Technical Services, USA

Meghan is the Research and Technical Director for Protekta. She is responsible for overseeing dairy research and provides technical support and training to the dairy industry’s nutrition and veterinarian community. In addition, Meghan provides on-farm technical support in North America.

Meghan grew up on her family dairy farm, which drove her to attend the University of Wisconsin – River Falls where she received her B.S. in Dairy Science and Agricultural Business. After completing her B.S. degrees, she attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she graduated with her Ph.D. from Dr. Laura Hernandez’s lab focusing on serotonin and calcium metabolism in the dairy cow. Upon completion of her Ph.D., Meghan worked as a dairy nutritionist and technical services specialist before joining Protekta.

ROD MARTIN

Senior Nutrition & Business Development, USA

Rod Martin is a Dairy Nutritionist and Business Development Consultant for Protekta Inc. He is responsible for providing technical training to the dairy industry’s nutrition and veterinarian community, providing on-farm technical support and North American business development.

Rod has 31 years of experience in on-farm dairy nutritional and management consulting, product development, and sales management. In addition, Rod has given presentations at numerous industry and university meetings along with writing articles for Hoard’s Dairyman and other dairy publications. Rod received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

KEITH ROBB

MIGUEL MORALES

Technical Services, Western USA

Miguel is a veterinary graduate from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where he was honored with the highest distinctions. With an illustrious career spanning over 35 years, he has become an integral figure in the dairy industry across the United States and Latin America. His expertise in product launches was showcased during his pivotal role in the introduction of Posilac (rbST) in Mexico, evidencing his proficiency in technical material development and market education.

Miguel’s experience extends to strategic roles where he has facilitated technology adoption and fostered collaborative relationships among nutritionists and dairy advisors. His comprehensive knowledge in production medicine, animal nutrition, and udder health has been invaluable to organizations aiming to optimize their dairy operations through advanced tools and practices.

As an esteemed leader in labor management, Miguel’s contributions to workforce efficiency are recognized industry wide. He has shared his thought leadership at international conferences, and his numerous articles address the complexities of managing multicultural teams, employee motivation, and professional development.

Miguel’s dedication to education is apparent in his frequent guest lectures at agricultural colleges, where he engages with the next generation of dairy science professionals. His passion for the field energizes him, and his goal remains to facilitate the dairy industry’s advancement by guiding professionals toward effective use of technology and best practices for sustainable animal health and productivity.

LASSE JAKOBSEN

Chief Executive Officer, USA

Lasse Jakobsen is the Chief Executive Officer of Protekta USA, where he provides strategic leadership and direction for the company’s operations and growth. With deep roots in agriculture and extensive international experience, he combines a practical understanding of the industry with a global business perspective.

His career began on his family’s farms in Denmark, building a foundation that was strengthened through business studies and an internship with one of Europe’s largest agricultural cooperatives. There, he gained valuable expertise in commodity trading, product development, and global trade. Upon returning to North America, he partnered with Morten Jakobsen to expand Protekta’s presence, establishing and scaling the business in the United States.

As CEO, Lasse is responsible for driving Protekta USA’s long-term strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering innovation to strengthen the company’s market position. His leadership emphasizes sustainable growth, customer focus, and value creation for stakeholders.

Michael O'Neill

National Account Manager, USA

Mike O'Neill has dedicated over 30 years to the agribusiness industry, bringing a wealth of experience across key areas including animal nutrition,  sales management, and product development. His career reflects a deep commitment to agricultural innovation and practical solutions that support Dairy producers.

Mike began his academic journey at the State University of New York at Cobleskill and later earned his degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Education from Middle Tennessee State University. His strong educational foundation, combined with decades of hands-on industry experience, has made him a respected leader and trusted advisor in the agricultural community.
